To continue the Prophecy tradition of sourcing grapes from the best growing regions in the world, we went straight to the source for the latest addition to our portfolio of wines, Buttery Chardonnay.
Chardonnay is one of the most popular wine varietals, and although originating in France, it is now grown all over the world. Beginning in the late 1970s, California put a unique spin on Chardonnay, by creating bigger-style, bolder wines, with rich buttery notes and our Buttery Chardonnay, is no exception.
Buttery by Design
We’re proud to add Buttery Chardonnay to our collection of premium wines. You’re going to love how the bright notes of stone fruit and lemon meringue complement the softness of vanilla layers and buttercream notes.
The creamy mouthfeel comes from a secondary fermentation where malic acid is converted to lactic acid to really bring out the buttery notes and aromas. Then we select intense oak that is more on the toasty side to impart additional buttery characteristics.
The result is a refreshing Buttery Chardonnay that’s nicely balanced and medium-bodied, culminating in a smooth finish with accents of spice.
Suggested Pairings
Pair our Buttery Chardonnay with grilled fish, shrimp alfredo, or even a grilled cheese sandwich. Or take it along with you on a picnic and leave the corkscrew at home. The screw top makes it highly portable and versatile.
